Dear Community Partners and Friends of HMCT,

I am pleased to provide you with three important updates this month.

1. We are very thankful and proud that our launch of the "Let's Change" Initiative, in partnership with the Memphis and Shelby County Health Department, was an absolute success.  Your support and commitment to "unite to fight obesity by engendering a culture of healthy living" is just the beginning of our journey to become "one of America's healthiest cities".  To participate in this initiative, you can pledge your organization to the "ABC's of Change" by completing and sending in the following pledge form:   "ABC's of Change" Pledge Form.

 2. The South Memphis Farmers Market (SoMe) officially opened on July 15th and we were proud to be a community partner in this exciting event.  For more information, please view the following YouTube video: SoMe Farmers Market.

 3. As part of our work with Aligning Forces, we will be convening with the Memphis Medical Society on October 30th a broad-based discussion on payment reform.  More details will be posted on our web site at the end of August.  To learn more about payment reform, please go to the Center For Healthcare Quality & Payment Reform web site (www.chqpr.org).

Sincerely,

Renee' S. Frazier, MHSA, FACHE
