Data Center

is a collaborative effort of the University of Tennessee, University of Memphis and the Healthy Memphis Common Table (HMCT) to support health and healthcare improvement initiatives throughout the Mid-South, by using hard data to track our community’s progress toward measurable health goals.
Mission

To create a health and healthcare data infrastructure to:

Support health promotion efforts for children and women in the Mid-South,

Assist in community-wide health and healthcare data reporting.
Key Long-term Goals

Measure area provider and community success in providing STEEEP (safe, timely, effective, efficient, equitable and patient-centered) prevention-focused care.

Obtain, tract and report short-term, intermediate & long-term outcome measures for local health & healthcare initiatives.

Obtain, track and report behavioral risk factor data related to obesity and diabetes.

Make the Healthy Memphis Data Center a resource for the entire Memphis and Shelby County community, and a model for the state of Tennessee.

Develop data collection strategies,

Monitor and document progress toward goals,

Document outcomes of 2005 intervention Projects
